A Very Special Day

Today as my beloved celebrates her birthday, I am with her as she embraces her creator’s goodness in bringing another chapter to her life. Indeed, life is the most precious gift that we all received from God.

Everyday we are endowed with situations in which we can share this gift of life with others. It is not just on birthdays that we must realize life’s value….we need to inculcate in our minds that everyday is always a reminder for us to treasure and get hold of this gift.

Moreover, I salute those who are seemed to be deprived in life in terms of capabilities, those who are differently abled, those who are denied of certain senses like that of seeing and hearing, yet in the midst of their predicaments they are still projecting how precious life is. Even if many are feeling hurt and helpless in those situations yet there are many also who emerge triumphant of such deprivation and they are the ones who serve as models for all to strive the more.

On the other hand, we are surrounded by people, events, situations and others that will aid us in holding on to what is ideal in life. We have different goals and directions, we own separate ways, we carry different burdens yet we are on the same journey that is towards the fulfillment of our life. We all aim for happiness and contentment. Yet many instances in our life can tell us that it is not all joy that we experience everyday. As life goes on, we continue to struggle and fall down yet what counts the most is that we continue to get up and survive each day believing that  we can get over the situation and emerge as better persons.

To reiterate, I celebrate the joy of my beloved on her memorable moment this day and I am with her in extending gratitude to our Divine Creator for all goodness shared day by day most notably the gift of LIFE.

Welcoming Defeat in a Gracious Way

In life, one of the tragedies that we encounter one way or the other is defeat. And this could come in any form, whether in our work performances, life relationships, or in our sports endeavors.  When we are defeated the most common and immediate reaction is that of pain, sadness, and self pity.

from:www.kozzi.com

Somehow, depending on our personal disposition, yet for sure we are greatly affected by those defeats that for some, these could lead to their personal demise and destruction. Others would resort to self- blaming and much worse for some,  they resort to blaming others for their debacle.

On the other hand, one positive thing we can get from those defeats is that they can be our motivator to strive the more. That instead of being deeply down by it, we rather choose to fight back and retreat momentarily to reflect what went wrong on the process.

Each defeat whether in sports or in personal affairs is a precious opportunity for us all to look back and assess what went wrong. Self evaluation is very essential in our life since it allows us to check the pros and cons of our past events. Like for example if we are defeated in a  game of chess, then we need to evaluate what are the factors that cause us to be defeated.
from:www.kozzi.com

And this involves the following: checking of our own strategies in playing against our opponent, prior assessment on our opponent’s positive and negative tools, preparing ourselves physically, mentally, psychologically, morally, or telling ourselves that our opponent indeed performed well than us.

Thus, being defeated therefore becomes an opportunity for us to engage in a self- checking of our own strength and weakness. Afterwards, we express gratitude for our positive qualities and we promise to own as well as improve our negative habits and ways.

MOTHER'S Day: An Example of Mama Mary to Us

During mother’s day, we remember all our mums who have been our motivating force as we continue living on this beautiful world. We owe everything to them especially the values that we personally own as we journey all throughout the years. Our mothers faithfully fulfilled their roles and responsibilities to their children without expecting something in return. Yet one mother who also serves as our model in everything is our beloved Mama Mary. Her fiat challenges us all to do the same daily in our life.

Throughout all these years, I have been motivated by this great love of Mama Mary for humankind. She never hesitated when she was invited to be the mother of our Lord Jesus Christ. I know for sure that just like any human being, she also had her own dreams and inspirations in life however, when invited to take part in Jesus’ life, she readily said YES and without any conditions, she agreed to this plan.

In life, we have encountered situations wherein we as well were asked to make our choice and decision. For sure, as human as we are, our natural tendency is to consider first what are beneficial for us. It is only then when personal benefits are identified that we will start thinking of others. That goes with our natural tendency for self- preservation, our initial instinct is to consider things that we think as self preferable.

Yet in Mama Mary’s example, we are continuously invited to offer ourselves to God by nurturing day by day our personal relationship with Him disregarding personal benefits in the process. God has been so generous to us all giving us daily our needs like strength and perseverance. We only  need to re affirm day by day our personal commitment to love Him and Mama Mary the more.

TEAMWORK: Key to a Team's Success

Coming together is a beginning.
Keeping together is progress.
Working together is success.

from:www.kozzi.com
Going back to my team, those boys were young, talented and had much  vigor in them. There were 15 of them who comprised the school’s varsity team. After weeks of try out, sweating it out with all hopeful, they came out as the lucky ones and emerged victorious. All throughout the year, we had our regular practice sessions and we were able to participate in certain competitions. Consequently, there were tears on moments of defeat and screams of joy when we won games especially against much favored teams.

Finding Ways to God

At times, we tend to forget our personal relationship with our God. Brought by our human desires we at times tend to prioritize our wants rather than thinking and looking of  ways to be closer to God. God has been so good, kind and loving to us. We are so blessed everyday in our life. No matter how tricky this life is, it remains a reality that God is always here, there and everywhere to continue embracing us in His fold.

God’s love for us is never ending and without any doubt. It is just us who shun ourselves away from Him. We continue to live life to the fullest and we are also invited by God to share this gift of life with others. We wake up each day with a new hope and a promise of a new beginning. No one exactly knows when will this world ends yet what we urgently need is to make efforts to grow into a more loving relationship with Him. We need to constantly remind ourselves about our being so special in the eyes of God.

Thus never give up in the midst of life’s complexities and challenges. Always try to get up when you fall down. Learn to express gratitude for everything that you receive and be generous in sharing these blessings to others. So many people are feeling alone and unloved. Countless people feel so down and lost each day yet by opening our eyes and hearts to God’s goodness, we will gradually feel that we are all special in His eyes.

Have A Plan

In any business, planning of things ahead is one of the essential elements. Knowing what to do next and mapping out all possible strategies to meet them counts a lot. Hence Rule of Success no. 11 is what I am going to share with you at this time. And I would like to reiterate my gratitude to Gerry Carson, SFI Founder and President for sharing all these resources on Rule of Success.

Here then is RUle of Success no. 11- Hope that after you read this tip, you can also make progress in your own SFI journey and just like the others who have made SFI a very profitable one, the road to the top will also be a reality.

” Goals are vital, as Rule #10 makes clear, but you must also have a plan to achieve your goals, and it must be realistic.

Have a plan

Start with this: Though SFI is truly one of the few businesses where you can earn while you learn, think of your first 6-12 months primarily as a training period. Build this into your plan. In this era of “instant everything,” I know that’s a tough for a lot of people to deal with, but big incomes simply do not happen overnight. It’s just not reality. If it was, everybody would be rich.

Instead, plan to work the hardest your first 6-12 months or so and get compensated the least. Don’t expect large earnings until after you’ve educated yourself and given yourself time to put your plan fully into operation.

Tip: For a great book on creating your plan, try The One Page Business Plan for the Creative Entrepreneur, by Jim Horan

“Failing to plan is planning to fail.”

-Unknown

“Without goals, and plans to reach them, you are like a ship that has set sail with no destination.”

-Fitzhugh Dodson

“I find it fascinating that most people plan their vacation with better care than they do their lives.”

-Jim Rohn

“if you want to pick apples, don’t plant weeds.”
-Unknown”

Those words about planning can be our personal guide to reach every goal that we have in life. Each day brings to us new opportunities for growth and for sharing. May every moment then become a personal journey full of joy and rich memories. A Day of Sharing

We are all invited to share our new day to all people we meet today. God has given us so many blessings and we ought to share them with others. Have you try to dissect your innermost feelings when you are able to reach out to others?

                                                            Image

I think the best thing in life comes in a very personal way. It is possible when we realize that we have extended our hands to people around us especially to those  who are in need of somebody to listen up to their stories…to those people who have no one to share with them….to those who are feeling so down and hurt because others are gone away and that they don’t have somebody to open up to….

At times, we are just so preoccupied with our own self interest activities that we tend to forget that we are all social beings–that others need us and vice- versa.  Personally, I feel so great when I am able to reach out to others. I always see to it that every single day is an opportunity to share this God given life with those who are feeling less worthy.

Indeed everyday for me is always a day of sharing….is it the same with yours?

A Significant Experience

Our family has been a faith bonded one. And I would say that I am so grateful to our mother for instilling in our minds the relevance of faith in our life. I could vividly remember that when we were still young,  our mother would gather us together to say the Holy Rosary. Then every Sunday, the whole family goes to church. She has been an exemplar of faith for me and for my siblings.

Even at that tender age, it was inculcated in my mind and heart that there is somebody  up who continuously looking at me and on my family. Everything will be placed in order by Him above. Yes, in this wide world, challenges and trials abound yet in spite of their being seemingly threat to human race, there is somebody up there taking care of everything.

This growing up did change my life as I grew up. I became a person who made God as my protector, provider, father and many more. And I was able to radiate this reality to other people who have come into my life. Thanks God for everything that you have showered on me.

How to Be a Winner In The Game?

For sure, we have heard of such sporting great in various games such as Muhammad Ali, Nadia CoMichael Jordan, Niki Lauda, and many more names. These are all winners in their respective field. They have brought honors not only to their own names but to their country as well.

Dominant feelings as overwhelmed and greatness are what we usually go through when reaching  whatever accomplishment in life. However the road to winning is a bit challenging and at times very tricky. It is never an overnight phenomenon that we emerge as winners. Aside from that, it takes a lot of patience and dedication before we reach fulfillment.

To have that attitude of a winner will usher us to our goal attainment. What is being dictated in our minds is also relayed to the other parts of our body system. We need to consistently focus on what are laid down as objectives then follow them up with the corresponding concrete steps for realization. On the other hand, it is also beneficial to look ahead for distractions or misgivings and in so doing, we allow ourselves to plan ahead for tools to counter any of them.

Those great players mentioned above had their own high and low in their career yet what is most distinguished in all of them is their triumph in their chosen path. For us, even if we are not yet savvy in our field yet with constant practice and focus, we can reach our goal in the future especially when we also adopt effective strategies.

And before we forget, let us all remember to ask for God's guidance in all our endeavours such as trainings, competition etc. Winning the game would always be our constant motivation- our guiding star to a positive outcome.
