A Faithful Friend

God did not desert Jeremiah and He will not desert us. We have His continual aid through the power of the Spirit who lives every believer (John 14:16-17)

There is always an assurance for us who trek on individual journeys that no matter what will happen along the way, we should never feel totally alone even though at times, it seems the road is becoming a burdensome one for He would always be there and constantly guiding as well as accompanying us.

Similar to the journey of Jeremiah who in his time, suffered great humiliations both physical and verbal abuses while sharing the good news of God, we also have our own share of deprivations and sufferings. As He assured and will continue to assure us that in Him, the load will be lighter and easy for He will never forsake us.

With this assurance, it gives us constant reason to be positive each day of our journey.

However, as human as we are, rough and tough times come to us and no matter how we proclaim that we are strong but in some of those moments, we tend to become weak and hopeless. But reflecting on God’s goodness and faithfulness, we are re- assured of a never ending love from somebody who accepts all of our being regardless of who we are and what we have done.

Thus, in all our journey, may we always remember to trust Him and allow Him to lead our way. After all, He is our beginning and our end.
